How does brownfield re-use/re-development help build communities? What type of benefits can they look forward to? Join us for this year's conference as we explore this vital topic!
Wednesday, June 12, 2019
8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET
Ted Rogers School of Management, Ryerson University, Toronto
Why should you attend?
Brownfields - the majority of communities in Canada have at least one, but do they understand the benefits hidden in these properties? If we want to advance Canada's brownfield agenda, we need to create awareness of the variety of ways brownfields can enhance communities. That's the focus of this year's conference. From our keynote speaker (Nelson Lepine of the Brownie-winning Carcross/Tagish Management Corporation) to case studies of community successes, we'll explore the variety of ways communities have benefited from brownfield re-development, discuss methods municipalities have used to foster re-use, and consider the tools we can use to support the process. It promises to be an energizing and enlightening day! We'll also have our regular features:
- Cross-country check-up
- Legal update
- Emerging technology
- HUB Awards
In addition, we'll be celebrating CBN's 15th birthday. We hope you'll join us Wednesday, June 12. For more details, and to register, please click here.
