Keynote Presentation As CEO of Northcrest Developments, Derek Goring is leading one of Canada’s most ambitious urban transformations - a City within a City - with the redevelopment of the 150-hectare former Airport Lands into a vibrant, sustainable, and connected mixed-use community. Drawing on his extensive experience with Waterfront Toronto, Infrastructure Ontario, and First Gulf, Derek has helped reimagine some of Toronto’s most complex brownfield sites. In his keynote, he will showcase how Northcrest addressed the financial and environmental considerations that shaped their early decisions. Derek will also share insights into Northcrest’s development vision and phasing strategy, the key challenges and opportunities associated with transforming this vast site, and how the economics of short-term activation and long-term investment are driving one of Toronto’s most exciting redevelopment stories. |
