Climate became the hot topic, both federally and provincially, in 2016. What does this mean for us as brownfielders? That's one of the things CBN's 2016 Conference discussed.   The Conference was held June 14, 2016.

The 2016 Conference registration is now closed, but you can find details on the program below!

This year's Conference focused on ways we can revitalize the conversation around brownfields, particularly in an environment where climate change is an important issue. We looked at barriers to brownfields redevelopment through this lens (as well as others) in discussions with provincial and municipal representatives. For the first time, we featured a round table discussion where everyone had an opportunity to contribute their concerns and solutions. Each table reported its results, and this will help us refine the CBN agenda for the coming year. We also had our regular features:

  • Regulatory update
  • Legal update
  • Brownfield achievements

As a result of this Conference, we plan to push the brownfield agenda in Canada forward.
