Government Relations Committee Update: September 2021

The GRC met on Sept 20th.   We noted that BC has recently consulted on Climate Change adaptation, with a section on strengthening protecting of groundwater aquifers with a connection to brownfields.  Also SK is expected to soon launch consultations on the The Hazardous Substances and Waste Dangerous Goods Regulations, and Ontario TSSA has been conduction recent stakeholder interviews regarding abandoned fuel sites and options for returning these to productive use.

The GRC strives to have strong representation in all regions of the country.  Any CBN members interested in joining us to strengthen our connections and representation with government officials would be most welcome at the GRC table!
