CBN at Sustaintech 2026
By: CBN
We were proud to be part of SustainTech 2026 hosted by the Saskatchewan Environmental Industry Members Association (SEIMA). We had an opportunity to lead a breakout session, “Drilling Down, Building Up! Issue Spotting in Land (Re)Development,” where we dug into the essentials of identifying environmental risks and effectively managing development challenges.
The conversation was insightful, engaging, and a great reminder of how critical early issue spotting and having all advisors and stakeholders at the table is to successful, sustainable projects.
As a non-profit organization championing #BrownfieldsFirst as a smarter, more sustainable path to development, we’re always excited to connect, collaborate, and share our mission with industry peers across Canada. A big thank you to Jacquie Stevens, Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers LLP, and Reanne R. Ridsdale, PhD Candidate, Toronto Metropolitan University, for bringing together such a fantastic panel:
- Crystal Bueckert, BLDG Studio, Prolog Developments
- Gordon Guest, Geo Tactical Remediation Ltd.
- Marnie Kinzel, Saskatchewan Ministry of the Environment
- Qiong(June) Lu, AtkinsRéalis
- Ryan Riess, M.Sc., P.Eng, R Squared Environmental Inc.
Thank you to everyone who joined the session and contributed to the discussion - let’s keep building up, the right way!
