Call for Nominations – Join the CBN Board of Directors

The Canadian Brownfields Network (CBN) is seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to join our Board of Directors!

Nomination Deadline: March 31, 2025

Election Date: May 22, 2025 (CBN Virtual AGM)

CBN plays a critical role in advancing brownfield renewal across Canada, and we are looking for two (2) new Board members to help shape the future of our industry. This is a two-year term, with the opportunity for renewal for up to three terms. Join us in shaping the future of brownfield redevelopment in Canada!

Why Join the CBN Board?  Board members have the opportunity to:

✔️ Shape strategic priorities for brownfield redevelopment in Canada

✔️ Expand their network and collaborate with industry leaders

✔️ Advocate for policies that drive sustainable land revitalization

✔️ Share expertise and contribute to thought leadership

Who Should Apply? We encourage nominations from professionals with expertise in:

✔️ Brownfield development or industry association experience

✔️ Financial oversight, governance, or risk management

✔️ Strategic communications and public relations

✔️ Representation from beyond Ontario

✔️ Oil and Gas industry or other industry or industry associations

✔️ Prior experience in CBN committees

Board Member Responsibilities

✔️ Attend five Board meetings per year (virtual or in-person)

✔️ Participate in committees, forums, and advocacy initiatives

✔️ Help shape policy direction and CBN’s strategic plan

✔️ Promote CBN at events and industry meetings

To be eligible, nominees must be current CBN members.
