Brownfield Workshop

By: CBN

The purpose of this workshop is to support municipal staff, developers, and consultants on managing brownfields from an “inside-the-municipality” perspective, while also advancing brownfield redevelopment across Canada by connecting participants with experienced practitioners, regulators, and decision-makers.

Topics will include:

• Understand the full lifecycle of brownfield redevelopment from a municipal perspective

• Gain clarity on key regulatory requirements and roles

• Learn practical approaches to budgeting, incentives, and financial tools

• Understand infrastructure, dewatering, excess soil challenges and long-term brownfield site management

• Enhance communication with provincial regulators and stakeholders about technical requirements, expectations and site-specific outcomes

• Learn how municipalities manage risk, contracts, and liability and discuss accounting measures to catalogue contaminated sites

• Explore new technologies, data tools, and decision-making approaches

Mark your calendars for late March (date to be announced in January).
