CBN’s 2015 Conference was anchored with the panel presentation of the Brownfield Cross-Country Review of regulations with:
Adam Leus of Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Alan McCammon of BC Ministry of Environment, Caroline Sanchez Valero of Reseau Environnement, and Michel Poirier of New Brunswick Department of Environment and Local Government and Atlantic PIRI.

Dr. Krista Barfoot of CH2M Hill presents an overview of the CUI Brownie Award winning project at the West Don Lands for the 2015 Pan-Am/Parapan-Am Games Athletes Village.

During the Public Consultation and Communications Panel, CBN Past-President Dave Harper (Kilmer) and Tom McIelwain (Golder Associates) discuss the keys to effective communications plans and public engagement for Brownfield Projects.

John Georgakopoulos, Managing Partner of Willms & Shier Environmental Lawyers LLP, presented his perspectives on the impacts on recent court decisions affecting Brownfields in Canada.

A highlight of the CBN Conference was the presentation/update on Ontario’s Modified Generic Tier 2/Tier 3 Risk Assessments by Rebekah Blok and Adam Leus of the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

At the CBN 10th Anniversary cocktail reception, the CBN Founding Directors CBN David Harper of Kilmer (CBN Past-President), Bonnie Prior of Appraisal Institute of Canada and Angus Ross of L&A Concepts were presented with a celebration gift by Stephanie Bohdanow of FCM and Grant Walsom of XCG Consulting Limited (CBN Vice-President).  Founding Directors Tammy Lomas-Jylha and George Vincent were not in attendance.

Attendees at the CBN 10th Anniversary Cocktail Reception raise a glass to toast the Anniversary.
